Will Paralives have Mods and Custom Content? Here’s Everything We Know!

If you’re a Sims cc lover who’s been keeping an eye on Paralives, you’ve probably been wondering: will this game actually have mods and custom content? Because let’s be real, half the reason we play life sims is the cc. 😅

🎮 Does Paralives Support Mods?

Good news: yes, Paralives absolutely supports mods and custom content from day one. Here’s everything confirmed so far, straight from the official Paralives Wiki and FAQ. So you can be sure these are the facts, before the game drops on May 25, 2026. 🎉

Paralives has been built with modding in mind from the very start. According to the official Paralives Wiki, the game was actually developed as its own mod, meaning the same tools the developers used to build the game are the tools you’ll use to create custom content. The modding tools are built right into the game itself.

✨ Where Do You Find and Download Paralives Mods?

Paralives uses Steam Workshop as its main spot for mods and cc. According to the official FAQ, players will be able to share their creations, custom content, and mods directly through Steam Workshop.

If you’ve never used Steam Workshop before, here’s how simple it is:

1. Open Steam and go to the Paralives Workshop page
2. Browse mods and cc you like
3. Click Subscribe
4. Steam automatically downloads and installs it for you
5. Launch the game and your content is ready

And here’s a bonus: mods don’t have to be on the Steam Workshop. The wiki confirms that creators can also host their content elsewhere, so Patreon, Tumblr, and other platforms will likely still be part of the Paralives cc community, too, just like it is for The Sims. 🙌

🛠️ What Kinds of Mods Will Paralives Have?

According to the wiki, mods fall into three main categories:

Feature Mods

These cover existing gameplay mechanics, things like vibes, relationships, careers, and more. The best part? Feature mods can be made entirely through the in-game modding tools. No outside software needed, and Paralives Studio provides tutorials right inside the game and on the wiki.

Asset Mods

These are your classic cc items: clothes, furniture, hairstyles, dishes, and so on. Asset mods are created in external 3D software like Blender or Maya, then imported through the in-game modding tools.

Script Mods

Script mods change how the game works at a deeper level. These are not officially supported. More on that below.

📋 Paralives Confirmed Moddable Features List

The Paralives Wiki has a list of features confirmed to be moddable. It’s labeled as tentative, so things could change once the game actually launches, but here’s what’s been confirmed so far:

Feature Mods:

• Careers
• Genetics
• Rabbit holes
• Recipes (potentially with their own effects)
• TV channels
• Relationship labels
• Together Cards
• Vibes
• Wants

Asset Mods (CC):

• Build Mode assets (furniture, structures, etc.)
• Paramaker assets (clothes, accessories, hairstyles, etc.)
• Photo Mode assets (filter presets, stickers, frames, special effects)
• Food / dishes
• Custom music for the radio

Animations are also confirmed to be moddable. 🎉

❓ What About Paralives Script Mods?

Here’s the one catch worth knowing: script mods are not officially supported, and won’t be allowed on the Steam Workshop. The wiki explains that this is at least partly because the game will be updating frequently during Early Access, which would constantly break script mods anyway. It’s also confirmed that official script mod support isn’t planned even after Early Access ends, though the wiki notes it could still be considered down the line.

If you’re great at Unity, you can technically make script mods on your own and share them on third-party platforms, but you’d be doing that at your own risk with zero official support.

For most of us though, this won’t matter at all. The CC, furniture, clothing, and gameplay mods that make up the bulk of what the life sim community creates are all fully supported.
